Hamster Kombat is the newest crypto game on Telegram to gain popularity, similar to Notcoin. Here’s what you should know.

Are hamsters actually fighting? Not quite—but despite its somewhat misleading title, Hamster Kombat has rapidly emerged as a leading play-to-earn game on Telegram. Building on the successful model of Notcoin, this clicker game has gained significant traction.

The Hamster Kombat team recently revealed plans to conduct an airdrop on The Open Network (TON). They will reward players for accumulating in-game coins by eventually distributing real, tradeable crypto tokens.

This will likely attract many more players to the game, but for now, new players can still join and collect coins before the airdrop. Here’s what you need to know about Hamster Kombat, how to play it, and details about the token and airdrop so far.

What is Hamster Kombat?

Much like Notcoin, Hamster Kombat involves players tapping to earn coins within a Telegram-native application (or “mini app”).

To play, simply open a chat on Telegram. The game developers assert they have gathered around 200 million users, all eagerly tapping to earn coins. These coins are expected to influence the number of tokens players will receive in the forthcoming Hamster Kombat airdrop.

Although Hamster Kombat has been around since March, it recently gained significant traction after the Notcoin airdrop ended. This surge in popularity might be due to tap-addicted gamers moving to a new game with an upcoming token and airdrop on the horizon.

Hamster Kombat’s core concept is similar to Notcoin, but it incorporates slightly richer game mechanics. In essence, it’s a tap-to-earn game combined with a crypto exchange simulator.

How to play Hamster Kombat.

Hamster Kombat begins similarly to Notcoin, with players tapping a golden coin in the Telegram app. However, in Hamster Kombat, the initial step involves shaving your hamster, for some reason, so it can become the CEO of a crypto exchange.

Like Notcoin, players in Hamster Kombat can use their in-game points to buy “Boosts” that enhance stats, such as the number of points earned per tap or the duration of tapping before needing to wait for the energy bar to refill. Additionally, players can claim free daily boosters six times a day.

Once players have earned some points, they can use them to upgrade their exchange in the “Mine” tab of the game. This tab displays various upgrades that players can purchase with in-game coins, such as adding coins like Bitcoin for trading, setting up a KYC process, or even appearing on the Joe Rogan podcast.

Each upgrade purchased for your exchange in Hamster Kombat generates passive income in coins. For instance, adding the BTC pair costs 250 points but yields 40 points per hour. These additions quickly pay off, accelerating the progress of your exchange.

Additionally, there’s a daily combo of upgrades that awards you 5 million free coins, along with a daily cipher where you can enter Morse code to receive another 1 million in-game coins. Make sure to check our guides on the Daily Combo and Daily Cipher for more information on both.

Wen airdrop?’

Earning in-game coins in Hamster Kombat serves a similar purpose as in Notcoin. These coins are pivotal because Hamster Kombat has announced an upcoming airdrop, and the game has been notably transparent about this compared to Notcoin’s initial stages.

The Hamster Kombat team has announced that the token is currently slated to launch in July, though this timeline is subject to change.

The details of how the airdrop will work haven’t been fully disclosed yet. However, the Hamster Kombat team has clarified that unlike Notcoin, the airdrop won’t involve a direct conversion from in-game coins to on-chain tokens.

“Airdrop eligibility will depend on the profit per hour and other activity parameters that we will reveal later, NOT the coin balance,” the team tweeted on June 6, advising players to “play wisely.”

Hamster Kombat recently tweeted emphasizing “profit per hour over coin balance,” highlighting the importance of investing in upgrades and continuously growing your virtual exchange in preparation for the airdrop.
